School Hygiene Club Project

Project locations: Freetown.
In pursuant of the 4th UN Sustainable Development Goal, YARDO-SL launched the SHC project to help tackle sanitation problems and promoting the personal hygiene of school kids in various deprived schools in the calaba town- Allentown municipality Freetown.
This project is aimed at ensuring the well-being of the kids as well as making the school environment conducive for learning through the formation of hygiene clubs at the various schools headed by their respective Health Education teachers. During the project, kids are trained on personal hygiene tips through the supply of leaflets and wall bills. Buckets and soaps is provided by YARDO-SL to be placed at a strategic point so the kids can easily use it to wash their hands especially after using the toilet or after eating.
After this three-month project, each beneficiary school is expected to be capacitated enough to continue the project as one of their school programs.
This project is estimated to impact about 1200 kids attending the various schools listed as beneficiaries of this project.
