Mudslide Disaster Relief Project
Mudslide Disaster Relief Project
Project status: completed
Project location: Regent, Freetown.
Project Summary:
In 14th August 2017, Sierra Leone was hit by a devastating disaster that claimed almost a thousand lives and destroyed billions worth of property.
The Mudslide left those victims still alive totally empty. No housing, no clothing and some with no one to call family again.
The country was declared a state of emergency and every citizen was called to help in their little way.
Government and its development partners were steadfast in the recovery and repatriation process as every other concerned citizen made their own effort to see that these survivors are well taken cared of.
YARDO-SL in its own contribution to the disaster relief donated a lot of food stuff, used clothes, torchlights and toiletries.
This project through the psychotherapy cancelling and donations brought hope to the lives of hundreds of victims.
